TWARAN is the inaugural event of Daan Utsav, kick-starting it year after year, with an energetic marathon for students, alumni and faculty of our IIMB community. The funds raised through this are then donated to a NGO. It is well attended by alumni, faculty and students alike, and gives them a platform to mingle, bond and more importantly, network with each other. And the cause and occasion being a happy one, Twaran promises to be a very stimulating experience for all those involved.
Twaran will be held on a day most fitting for it, October 2nd, Gandhi Jayanthi and it would mark the onset of the Joy of Giving Week, Daan Utsav.
This year, Twaran is aimed at raising money for an NGO named Angels Orphanage taking care of 50 abandoned children. They provide safety, nutrition, education, medical attention and love to these children.
This year’s Twaran offers two types of marathons - Five and Ten Kms. The choice is completely on the marathon runner. So without much ado, do something good for your health and heart, and participate in Twaran at IIM Bangalore. "Hard and difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations…”
