Twaran is a marathon conducted by Vikasana year after year in collaboration with IIMB’s Alumni committee and Sports committee to raise funds. The funds raised through this are then donated to a NGO. It is well attended by alumni, faculty and students alike, and gives them a platform to mingle, bond and more importantly, network with each other. And the cause and occasion being a happy one, Twaran promises to be a very stimulating experience for all those involved.
The Teach To Transform program facilitates the IIMB community to teach underprivileged children on weekends. Volunteers are matched with students based on the comfort with the subject. Sarthak is a special edition of the TTT Program.
More than 350+ workers will be served lunch by the students. It was a day where the community get a chance to thank the people who serve us daily.
It is an unique event where Vikasana encourages students from all over India to take time off their busy schedules and volunteer to record audio textbooks for the benefit of blind children.
Students from around campus volunteer during their lunchtime and make sandwiches for distribution at a slum. The response from students last year was overwhelming as they made 200 sandwiches for distribution. The sandwiches are then taken to a nearby slum and given to students returning from school. The joyous smiles of the children at the slum were heartwarming.
